„Oskolsky plant of metallurgical machinery“ (OZMM) is one of the youngest of large industrial plants in Stary Oskol. It was founded in 1979 in Stary Oskol Belgorod region. OZMM is producer of articles from carbon-, high-alloyed-and manganese steels. The plant produces mining and metallurgical spare parts and parts for other industry fields.

JSC „Oskolsky plant of metallurgical machinery“ has dynamic development. The main shops of the plant are: the steel foundry shop, the press-forge shop, the machining and assembly shops.

The plant increases the nomenclature with development of production volumes. The number of plant’s customers increase year to year. The consumer’s market include monthly about 200-210 works of main regions of Russian Federation. The basic consumers are mine-metallurgical, heavy machinery, railway and military plants. OZMM exports the production to Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Turkey, Italy and France. OZMM has certified quality management in accordance to GOST R ISO 9001-2001. The programme of production modernisation is work out by specialists of our plant, new equipment is applied.

The investitions in to the base capital increase today. The technology of cold-hardened mixers with using of sans regeneration applies in to production completely for the first time in Russia.

OZMM is one of largest Russian producers of articles from high- manganese grade of steels (110G13L, 75G13L, 80G8L). We supply to our customers casting, forgings and metal constructions, articles with mechanical treatments monthly.

OZMM founding Production is a large modern foundry with a 30 000 tons of shaped castings capacity a year and with a crane equipment with the hoisting capacity to 80 tons.

The steel foundry shop produces castings of different steel grades in a volume of over 30 000 tonnes per year. Castings made of manganese steel constitute the major part (80-90%) of the production (weight 200-7000 kg). Cone breaker plates, jaw breaker linings, excavator bucket teeth are produced from this grade of steel. The shop also produces castings from high-alloy and carbon steel for various needs (38HM, 18HG, 40HN2MA, 30H13, 10H23N18, 65G a.o.). Steel is melted in electric-arc furnaces of 8 tonnes capacity. High quality steel is obtained by the inert gas purging in the ladle. 10% of complicated big castings are produced using hand-formed mouldings; other castings are produced on mechanised conveyers. The shop is technologically equipped for production of crusher sets and also production of smaller articles which machining and operating stability is 2 times higher compared with analogues.

The press-forge shop has a production capacity of 15 thousand tonnes of forged bars and stampings per year from different steel grades. The shop has a unique equipment for production of articles with masses ranging from 2 kgs to 4,5 tonnes. The max. mass of stampings is 30 kgs, the max. dia. of rings is 1000 mm, forged steel bars dia. 290-450 mm, length 4-6m. The quality of thermal treatment is ensured by the use of modern reheating and thermal treatment furnaces.

The machining and assembly shops with excellent equipment can treat the complicated pieces with high precision from 4 kg to 100 tn including teeth cutting on gears, rings (max diameter 8000 mm) with modulus 2-40 mm, restoration of the big housing details, volume hardening and teeth hardening r.f.current.
